Real Feedback from Real Customers: Review #80: 5.0 Stars | 04/30/21 Review by Lowa M. in Mahomet, IL Project: Convert Phone lines to data lines and install cameras Comments: Working with Jesse and the crew he sent was a great experience. I contacted Jesse's business based on a recommendation. He got back to me the following day and agreed to come to my house a few days later to understand the scope of what I was asking him to do. Convert phone lines to data lines for a good portion of the house. He showed up on time for this initial appointment and did a walkthrough of the house and project. He promised to send a cost estimate which he did the same evening. Once we agreed on a cost estimate, he scheduled a time and date for the project to be completed by his team. On the day of the project, he showed up with his team to do a final walkthrough and, as is often the case with these types of projects, I added a few items (security cameras). He made adjustments to the project cost based on what I requested. His crew was excellent, almost unnoticeable while working in the house. They worked all day and when they left the house, it is as if they were never there, but I had better internet throughout the house. Outstanding experience overall. This involved traversing our attic (where I have never ventured), installing the antenna, then running direct lines to two TVs, one in a location that had never had any kind of TV hook-up. Jesse worked us into his schedule very quickly, the work was done quickly and neatly. We can receive 20 OTA channels, including the elusive WILL, with a picture that is just as good as the one provided by cable. As with any project a few problems arose but they resolved them promptly and to my satisfaction. They did a good job patching the dry wall where old intercom was removed and cleaned up the mess. They were capable of multiple facets of work like setting a post in concrete in the yard. Attitudes of the staff were exceptional and I would have them return for additional work in the future! I had them remove a wall mounted flat screen and install in the basement and install a new flat screen tv and a SONOS soundbar. This was a more difficult job than first anticipated due to hidden wiring and they were unable to hard wire the TV in the basement to my internet connection. That is not to say that they did not try very hard. The final bill was higher than estimated but the job took longer due to the way in which the previous installation had been done. I have no complaints on this. Incidentally, I have used another local installer on a couple of occasions and would never use them again. I highly recommend Swinderman's. The first experience was about 4 years ago when I was buying my first HD TV and was trying to determine if I could wall mount it in a corner. I also had a 30 year old UHF-VHF antenna in the attic that was causing some signal breakup. Since this was just an assessment of possibilities, no work was done but Jesse was kind enough to offered several suggestions for me to consider. Just this week I had a service call to determine the best antenna choice to allow me to continue to receive over the air broadcasts and eliminate the occasional signal breakup. Jesse and Zac determined that I had installed a splitter at the antenna (for a second TV - that I had never used). They removed the splitter and bingo my problem was solved. They also reviewed the orientation of my attic antenna. Very personal team and very professional in their approach to diagnosing problem and rectifying it. I would highly recommend Swinderman Engineering Services for any audio/visual issue you might have. Arrived on time with the equipment needed for the job. Showed me everything they were doing and why, and configured the antenna so that I could receive the best reception. Neat and clean=all wires zip tied to the tower in several places and the "tails" cut, so they wouldn't blow around in the wind, and when they saw one wire wasn't adequately tied down, one of the installers climbed back up the tower to make it right. This is what service is supposed to look like!
